Much of the country is gripped by a Polar Vortex, which essentially means that a large portion of the US (roughly 26 states) are experiencing wind chills and extremely cold temperatures. Well, if you reside in one of the states that have been gripped by arctic wind, here’s a bit of retail therapy to warm you up.

Dennis Basso paired with Pour La Victorie shoes who’s amazingly crafted designs are equal parts elegant and chic. The presentation was a combination of old world glamour meets Paris socialite as the gowns were reminiscent of times gone by and meant to conjure up images of a evening out in Deauville, France in the 60’s. This spring, the topknot is going to be making its rounds again, but with a more polished coiffed look than the haphazard “sock bun” that has been pervasive this season. The beautiful gowns paired with faux fur stoles remind me of the old school style in my grandmother’s closet. The Pour La Victorie shoes featured in the presentation will be available for a limited time contact 1-855-PourLAV for details.

Depending on where you are in the country, spring has officially sprung in spite of the calendar still declaring a foothold on winter. Spring has always been a time of transition and this season the focus is on neon- bright colors, delicious florals and at the top of almost everyone’s must have list for Spring- colored jeans ranging from royal blue to soothing cool pastels.
Here ‘s some inspiration of my favorite trends for spring:
Colored jeans- I must admit I am totally obsessed with this trend. From warm coral to cool minty green colored jeans offer an affordable and stylish way to update your spring wardrobe. Here are some of my favorites:
Peplum- this is a classic look that offers up the utmost in lady-like elegance. With options ranging from peplum skirts, to jersey tops to jackets you can instantly add a dose of feminine chic to your wardrobe.
Bright lights- I swear to you, there is nothing new under the sun and the neon trend made extremely popular during the mid 80’s has returned with a vengeance.
Kelly Green- Green is hands down one of my favorite colors and this spring, the color comes in shades ranging from money to the most verdant Kelly green.
Flower Garden- I must admit I have been slow to warm to the floral trend, but give me a gorgeous wedge with a bit of flowers to envelope my feet and I’m sold. If you are unlike me and see yourself rocking floral from head-to-toe then this is the season for you to bloom!
What’s your favorite trend for the season?
Contemporary eyewear has transtionied from being simply functional to works of art. From the 80’s influenced Cazals to the chic elegance offered up by cat eyes, eyewear has truly become an accessory of note.
Tom Ford has quickly established himself as a designer known for luxury, style and elegance- taking on everything from delicious fragrances (Noir de Noir is my favorite), to a line of cosmetics and of course he is best known for the legacy he created with Gucci.
Well the Austin, Texas native will be launching a special edition optical collection between April and June. With a distinct nod to the 50’s the glasses are gold plated with water buffalo horn at the front and temple; the collection offers unique options for both men and women.
The glasses will retail for $2,950 in Tom Ford boutiques and select luxury department stores.
Lia Sophia is quickly becoming one of my favorite jewelry designers for pieces that add an exclamation to an otherwise neutral ensemble.
Vibrant greens, sunshine bright yellows and warming oranges all played a starring role on many of the spring catwalks. As winter has just made an appearance and unfortunately , with several months of cold and wintry weather ahead of us why not add a dose of spring-like color to your wardrobe with one of these awesome statement pieces from Lia Sophia??

Today is the first official day of winter and in spite of the unseasonably warm temperatures its time to consider winter wear. This past fall I had the pleasure of being introduced to an incredible new line for curvy divas- as U are coats. The concept of the line is simple- the company uses a “fit matching system” that takes your specific body type into consideration versus coming up with the one-size fits all solution that most clothing lines offer.
The selection of coats runs the gamut from casual to dress and a combination of everything in between. I fell in love with the Arizona jacket because it offers the perfect balance of rugged chic plus warmth!
The site is currently offering a third off your entire order- simply enter 1THIRDOFF at check out.
Whatever comes to mind when you think of Lia Sophia jewelry is probably way off base compared to the fabulousness of their newest red carpet collection. I took a moment out from my frenzied NY Fashion Week schedule to stop by the Social Fashion Suite hosted by Lia Sophia and I fell in deep love with the Boudika collection designed by Dani Stahl.
The collection runs the gamut from chunky on trend cuff bracelets made from lapis and black diamond crystals, to beautiful matte gold necklaces and rings in white resin pearls.
Each piece in the collection makes a unique statement and provides the perfect exclamation point to any fashionistas ensemble.
