This was the fourth installment of Curves Rock Weekend and I can see clear evidence of the growth and evolution of this plus- friendly event which features everything from karaoke to an expo of some of the most sought after designers in the plus- community.
This year I had a chance to attend the Fashion Meets Curves brunch which provided media, stylists and bloggers the opportunity to hear first hand from some of the designers showcased during the runway show.
Ashley Stewart served as a sponsor for the weekend and Big Women: Big Love star Sabrina Servance was awesome as she encouraged attendees to embrace their beauty and curves as well as giving transparent insight into her own journey as a quirky, curvy girl with a unique sense of style.
Style expert Denise Cadell also addressed attendees- Some of her best advice for being snatched? Select your shapers/ Spanx in one size smaller for ultimate silouette under your clothes.
I had several fan girl moments during the weekend as I had a chance to buy pieces from one of my favorite designers Courtney Noelle ( formerly Rum and Coke). Her items were deeply discounted and I fell so deeply in love with one of the dresses that I opted to wear it that evening.
Me rocking Courtney Noelle
The runway show is always the highlight of the show and featured designs from the likes of Tru Diva Designs, Ashley Stewart and Eyani Couture.
