Spring-Summer Haute Couture, Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani has certainly bought his haute couture spring/ summer collection to the masses. Fashionistas from London to Oklahoma had an opportunity to witness the collection unfold live via the Internet on yesterday.

I absolutely loved his collection, and for some reason the lady-like suits reminded me of my grandmother, which in my case is a very good thing, cause girlfriend could rag.

Spring-Summer Haute Couture,Elie Saab

The Lebanoese-born Elie Saab is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers. His collection looks extremely wearable; like the fabric would kiss my skin and not be a ‘sacrifice’ to wear like evening wear so often can be. Beyonce and Halle Berry have both been seen wearing his elegant gowns…

Spring-Summer Haute Couture, Christian Dior

Drama was the order of the day for the House of Dior by John Galliano. Dramatic color, and Asian-influenced detail was prevalent throughout the collection.

Spring-Summer Haute Couture, Valentino

Valentino always features the most delicious dresses and his spring-summer ’07 haute couture collection featured on yesterday was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the simple elegance of the models hair swept up in 60’s inspired buns, and the dresses had the most feminine bows and lace featured in unexpected places.

Spring-Summer Haute Couture, Chanel

The GF is so excited about the haute couture fashion shows taking place in Paris this week. Karl Lagerfelds collection for the house of Chanel was featured yesterday and aside from the batman-esque, make-up featured on the models, I LOVED the collection. Black and white were the primary color hues, though there were a few splashes of color and 60’s mod-style, coat dresses, were also very prominent.
